Looking Back on 2025

How We Found Clarity in the Midst of Uncertainty

As an agency founder, I used to think that growing a business looked like signing larger contracts for bigger companies. So that’s what we did. We focused on finding bigger clients and had a chance to build brands for some amazing companies, big and small. And as proud as we are of those big projects, something felt missing. It didn’t feel like the work we are meant to do.

We’re drawn to clients who share our passion for impact – mission-driven innovators like us.

When they see global uncertainty and broken systems, they roll up their sleeves to forge a new path. They are questioning the world as it is and working to create a better one. And they’re looking for allies who see their potential.

This is the work we are called to do: partnering with innovative leaders and building challenger brands that help them punch above their weight. Helping these leaders launch innovations with real impact is what gets us excited to go to work each day.

Whether you’re a client, collaborator, or a friend of GS, we thank you for being part of our story. Let’s keep working together to design a better future. Here’s a look back at 2025.

Healthcare Leadership that Reimagines the Future

SpringTide’s vision has always extended beyond the work of a traditional VC. To build community and further their leadership, they launched the Wave Summit: an annual gathering of healthcare’s top thinkers. This is the place where leaders can collaborate across disciplines and explore what’s next for health.

Wave is amplifying solutions that enhance care delivery and elevate global health. This year’s highlights included a challenge from Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel to prepare for a coming healthcare crisis, along with urgent calls to take action with AI readiness, shifting consumer expectations, and systemic reform.

Investing in Ohio’s Healthtech Ecosystem

Big ideas come from unexpected places. Over the past year, we’ve found deep alignment with a growing group of healthtech innovators across Ohio. We’ve met leaders who know bold ideas need more than scientific solutions. They need great storytelling that cuts through the noise and builds momentum to fund and scale.

Through partnerships with Project Medtech, JumpStart’s Trailblazer Program, and community events, we’re helping these founders strengthen soft skills that turn innovation into impact. Our coaching meets them where they are, shaping pitches and translating early-stage ideas into clear, fundable stories.

Ohio’s not just a nice place to visit. It’s a community we’re excited to invest in, and we’re just getting started.

In January, we’re hosting our first ever Pitch Boot Camp in Cleveland.

Rallying Allies for a Sustainable Vision

To build a different future, you need different thinking. This is the belief that drives Possibility Ocean, a collaborative initiative designed to unlock imaginations, spark cross-sector dialogue, and catalyze new solutions for how we collect and utilize ocean data.

At our inaugural summit, we gathered global leaders to explore how high quality ocean data can drive climate resilience, economic growth, and sustainable innovation. Our threefold mission:

  1. Raise awareness of the urgent need for ocean data

  2. Break down silos across disciplines

  3. Reframe crisis into opportunity through creativity and collaboration.
